MC Hyland (she/they) is a poet, essayist, and the founding editor of DoubleCross Press, a poetry micropress. She is the author of The Dead and the Living and the Bridge (Meekling Press, 2024) and two previous full-length poetry collections, THE END and Neveragainland. Paula Cisewski (pronounced Shih-ZEv-ski), a Minneapolis-based poet, teacher, and editor whose work spans eight poetry collections and chapbooks, including The Becoming Game (Hanging Loose Press, 2025), Ghost Fargo (winner of the Nightboat Poetry Prize), and Quitter (winner of the Diode Editions Book Prize). Her writing explores themes of transformation, vulnerability, and resilience. Paula is the recipient of fellowships from the Jerome Foundation and the Minnesota State Arts Board, and she co-publishes Beauty School Editions while teaching writing in both academic and community settings.
